Frequently Asked Questions

If you don't find the answer you are looking for here, please reach out, I'll be happy to help.

Do I need to have any experience with shamanism or energy work?

Not at all. Many people who come to me are completely new to this kind of work. You don’t need to believe in anything or follow a spiritual path. just bring an open heart and a willingness to explore. This work meets you exactly where you are.

Will I need to talk or share?

No. You never need to talk, explain, or share anything unless it feels right for you.
This applies to every space I hold, whether you’re attending a Full Moon Circle, a birth preparation class, a one-to-one healing session, a ceremony or retreat.

You’re welcome to come just as you are and still receive everything you need.

Some people feel called to speak while others stay silent. Both are welcome. There is no expectation and no pressure. I work gently, attuned to your nervous system. What matters most is that you feel safe, supported and free to experience the work in the way that’s true for you.

I’ve experienced trauma or chronic illness, is this work right for me?

Yes. My approach is always trauma-informed, body-aware, and grounded in nervous system safety and spiritual care. Many of the people I work with are living with the aftershocks of trauma, long-term stress, chronic illness, anxiety, fatigue, grief, or burnout. You don’t need to be “fixed” or “better” to begin, you’re welcome exactly as you are.

I offer healing spaces that are spacious, gentle, and non-invasive. You’ll never be asked to re-live or re-tell painful stories. Where appropriate, I draw on specific trauma release processes that work beneath the surface, supporting integration without overwhelm.  If you’re carrying something heavy, or feeling disconnected from your body or spirit, this work can gently help you come home to yourself.

What happens at a Full Moon Circle?

Each circle is a gentle, nourishing space to reconnect with yourself and others. We move through grounding, intention-setting, reflection, ritual, and guided journeying, meditation and more. Each month is different. Sharing is welcome but never expected, you're free to participate in the way that feels right for you. These gatherings are a form of deep self-care: a sacred pause in the month to listen inward, release what you no longer need, and return to yourself with softness and strength. These gatherings often open the door to healing that’s been waiting to unfold.

What is Womb to World support, and how is it different?

This is a comprehensive, holistic approach to preparing for birth, postpartum and parenthood. It honours the full arc of your journey, from pregnancy and birth preparation to healing, ceremony, and the early days of life as a new parent.

Drawing on my experience as a midwife, educator, and holistic practitioner, I blend practical knowledge with tools like hypnobirthing, breathwork, visualisation, emotional integration and more. Whether you're planning a physiological or a more medicalised path, this work meets you exactly where you are.

Womb to World support can include:

  • Childbirth preparation (with or without hypnobirthing)

  • Postpartum planning and healing support

  • Closing the Bones ceremony

  • Motherhood blessing or other personalised ceremony

Support for recovery from trauma, whether that’s arisen from fertility challenges, your baby’s birth, postpartum period, breastfeeding challenges, neonatal admission, baby loss or more and is available to both parents and families alike.

It’s about resourcing yourself on every level - body, mind, heart, and spirit, and being fully witnessed and supported as you move from womb to world.

What is a Mother Blessing ceremony?

A Mother Blessing is a sacred celebration that honours the mother or birthing parent, emotionally, spiritually, and symbolically, before the arrival of their baby. It’s a gentle alternative to a baby shower, rooted in connection and intention. Each one is designed around your needs, beliefs, and preferences and can also serve to strengthen your physical, emotional and spiritual preparation for birth.

I’ve experienced trauma during my parenting journey, can you help?

Yes. I offer one-to-one support for healing after trauma related to birth and the wider parenting journey. This can include difficult or traumatic births, fertility struggles, baby loss, breastfeeding challenges, neonatal admission, or other unexpected experiences including those witnessed by birth partners or loved ones. Trauma doesn’t only affect the person giving birth. Sometimes witnessing something frightening, feeling powerless, or holding it all together for someone else can leave deep emotional imprints. You’ll never be asked to re-live or retell painful memories. Instead, we work gently at your pace, using tools to support recovery and healing.

Can I work with you online?

Yes. Most of my one-to-one work is available online or from a distance. Distance doesn’t lessen the connection or impact.

I’m not sure what I need. Can I speak to you first?

Of course. You don’t need to have it all figured out. I offer free 20-minute discovery calls so we can explore what’s there for you and what kind of support might feel most helpful right now. You are welcome to reach out.
