About Me

Hi, I’m Andrea - a Shamanic Practitioner, Shamanic Counsellor, Teacher, Reiki Master and Ceremonial Guide based in Aberdeenshire, Scotland.
I offer sacred, supportive space for those navigating life’s transitions - whether you're healing from burnout or loss, seeking spiritual guidance, reconnecting with yourself, or simply in need of rest and reflection.

My work blends ancient, earth-honouring practices with trauma-informed care and over 30 years of professional experience in healthcare, education and energy work. I offer one-to-one Shamanic Counselling and healing, Full Moon Circles, ceremonies, workshops and retreats, all grounded in integrity, heart and connection.

Whether you’re exploring deep questions, seeking healing or simply longing for a slower, soul-nourishing way of being - there’s a place for you here.
My Path
A life of guiding others through change: with heart, soul and grounded support.

My life has always followed two intertwining paths: one rooted in professionalism, responsibility and care for others… the other in spirit and a quiet, lifelong connection to the unseen. For years they ran alongside each other. Now, they’ve gently woven into one.
A soul connection from the beginning
Even as a child, I sensed there was more to life than what could be seen. I spoke with my ancestors, found peace in old kirkyards and sacred places, and felt most at home visiting stone circles, wild landscapes and experiencing nature’s quiet presence. I didn’t yet have words for it, but I knew I was held by something loving and vast.

My healing journey also began early, shaped by trauma, ill health and a deep awareness that conventional paths alone wouldn’t bring me healing. By my late teens and early twenties, I was exploring aromatherapy, homeopathy, nutrition and SHEN therapy, which opened powerful doors of healing and awareness. I experienced my first shamanic journey in 1997 guided by a Siberian Shaman and began Zen meditation in 1998. Something clicked and never left.

The professional path: advocate, educator, midwife
For nearly two decades, I worked in the legal field, supporting people through complex systems and learning the value of clear communication and integrity. Then motherhood shifted everything. The births of my two sons awakened something profound, leading me to train as a midwife.

From there, I worked across all areas of maternity care, eventually becoming Senior Charge Midwife at a local birth unit. I then moved into academia, becoming a midwifery lecturer and course leader supporting students across Scotland. Along the way, I trained in trauma-informed care, received a teaching fellowship, and co-authored a book on midwifery culture. Yet something in me was still calling for integration - a deeper way of working that honoured both spirit and science, soul and structure.

Returning home to the healing path
All throughout this time, I was also training in healing and spiritual work - becoming a SHEN practitioner, Reiki Master, Hypnobirthing teacher, Traumatic Birth Recovery practitioner and Certified Shamanic Practitioner. I have studied Shamanic Healing Arts, Plant Spirit Medicine, Nature Intelligence, Healing Circle Alchemy, and offered one to one healing and held sacred circles quietly alongside my professional life.

Eventually, the call to step fully into this path became too strong to ignore. I chose to leave academia and clinical work to follow the deeper path - a soul-led path of healing, teaching and ceremony.

The work I offer now
Healing isn’t about fixing… it’s about remembering who you are beneath the noise and living from that place with courage. Now, I offer space for others to reconnect, reflect and realign - drawing on all I’ve learned through both life and practice.

Through one-to-one Shamanic Counselling and healing sessions, ceremonies, circles, workshops and retreats, I help people reconnect with their own wisdom, deepen their spiritual path, and honour life’s turning points with presence, care – making sure there’s space for laughter, lightness and connection too.

If you’re navigating change, longing to feel more like yourself, or simply seeking quiet reconnection - I’d be honoured to walk alongside you.
